Middle America and Caribbean Prayer Bulletin
October 14 - 20, 2007
SUNDAY, October 14
Praise the Lord for His work among the Lenca in one of the rural communities in the mountains of Honduras. Three young men from a Baptist church in town are taking turns leading the newly formed house church in the mountains. These three mature, Christian young men are Lenca themselves. How awesome it is to see Lenca believers beginning to take responsibility for leading their fellow Lenca to know Jesus as Savior and Lord and to see God calling out workers to his harvest field. MONDAY, October 15
Churches in Grenada are concerned about the spiritual growth and leadership qualities of their young people. Please pray for Courtney Street and Rick and Cindy Jenkins as they go to Grenada today through Wednesday to meet with pastors, student leadership and young people on this island. Pray for God’s direction and timing to begin a student ministry in Grenada. [Top]
TUESDAY, October 16
Team Ten of San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic, requests prayer that God would raise up five new leaders by the end of October. They will be trained for work in evangelism, church planting, and leadership of churches and new groups. [Top]
WEDNESDAY, October 17
Cristo la Roca Fiel (Christ the Faithful Rock) Church in San Juan del Rio, Mexico, is growing and has baptized more new believers. One of the new believers prayed for her mother’s salvation. Praise the Lord that her mother now knows the Lord and has opened her home for a new church start in a new area. Pray for the growth of these new believers and for the new house church. Unfortunately, a member of the church leader's family has become bitter about Cristo la Roca Fiel Church and its growth. Please pray that he can rejoice in the new works being started. Pray for a spirit of unity among churches instead of competition. [Top]
THURSDAY, October 18
The Impacto Bíblico (Bible Impact) Baptist Church in Guatemala City rejoiced last month to have nine visitors one Sunday, most of whom came as a result of contacts made in the weekly cell groups. Chairs had to be set up on the covered porch to fit everyone in. Pray that the Lord will lead the church to a bigger place with room for Sunday school classes that will be within their budget. [Top]
FRIDAY, October 19
The Acts Alive Team again thanks you for praying for church-planting efforts in Durango, Mexico. Twenty-two people accepted Christ in Francisco Zarco after a showing of the “JESUS” film and work by a team from Arkansas. Sixty-five people participated in discipleship training and another eighty or so saw the film "The HOPE" which tells the story of the Bible from creation to the resurrection of Christ. Please continue to pray for this church to grow, not only in number, but in commitment to Christ. [Top]
SATURDAY, October 20
The MAC Media Team is intently focused on a number of projects during this last quarter of the year. Pray that the team will be able to work productively and efficiently in meeting deadlines, and with wisdom, creativity and excellence. Pray for equipment to function properly. Pray that the resulting media tools in the hands of missionaries and nationals will open the door for evangelism, make plain the Word of God, and bring many to salvation. [Top]
